B'MORE CAREFUL CELEBRATES 100 POSTS (Not counting the ones I deleted due to not wanting to freak out new boyfriends) YAY!

Well, nothing much to report in this, my 100th post EVER. Boris and I went salsa dancing last weekend, and I drank three gin and tonics which were like 97% gin and 3% tonic, and I got so utterly sloshed that we had to bunk at Boris's b/c my head was spinning way too vigorously for the 20 minute drive to the Petard pad. We had to put my contacts in Boris's Greek-made scotch glasses, of which he is inordinately fond. He labeled the glasses L and R, and the next morning, he hermetically sealed them with Reynold's wrap and duct tape. I'm not sure why I find this utterly endearing, but I do.

Men and duct tape = endearing.

  • Gin and tonics are the BEST! Dr Y will agree with me that there isn't much better than un gin tonique :) (especially when someone else makes them!)
although, watching sea turtles frolic in the surf while drinking pina coladas ain't so bad either.

I've done the contact lenses in the shot glass trick before. It's never fun....

why did he wait til morning to hermetically seal them? was he afraid that they might try to jump out after being stuck there all night?

Have you taken my advice and watched 'the endless summer' yet? Here's an idea: you could do a surf movie festival. there is that movie, north shore, *the* north shore (one has keanu reeves and the other one is much worse... I'll let you decide how bad that could be), beach blanket bingo, blue hawaii... well, you get the point. any movie about surfing or any movie from the sixties that features annette funicello and frankie avalon, or possibly anything with gidget. :)

ahhh, I could go for a gin and tonic. I wish I had someone who would make me one! :)

  • I do agree that gins and tonique are the best (followed by Singapore Slings and nachos at the Mai Tai bar). I further agree that contact lenses in the glass overnight sucks. I am not so sure about men and duct tape, I think I would find that a little scary.

I also happen to think that my Harry Potter theory is the best.

  • Dr Y:

What is your Harry Potter theory?

  • G&T is a very fine drink, had I time this weekend whilst I was in the north-lands, I would've ambled ever so close to the Vermont border and had a few with Dr. C. Though I'm not a Dr. so I don't know if they'd let me in the club.

  • Now, now jlp, let's not be mean to Dr Y. She's actually quite nice (to me, atleast!). Also, on the topic of G&Ts, she makes a mean one...

c1150: alas, I no longer live in the upper valley, though I miss it dearly :(

  • It is a beautiful area, while I was in the southern part of NH this weekend my family suggested I move back home. I'm not sure if that's the best course for me right now, but it is tempting.
